Solar panel removal
Before demolition of the old bungalow takes place, we will need to remove the 32 photovoltaic solar panels (generating 8kw of electricity) from the roof and store them safely until they can be re-installed next year on the roof of Sky House Sussex. To find out whether we can maintain our Feed In Tariff to the National Grid during the duration of our build project, our solar panel supplier, Paynes of Sussex is speaking to Ofgem, the government regulator for the electricity and gas markets in Great Britain, to pose the question.
This feels like we are on the border of anyone’s knowledge as to what the answer to our FIT question should be! Are we really at the cutting edge of house construction using renewable energy appliances and just moving them from one roof to another?
