Box of hypodermic needles found on demolition site

It was hard to resist the urge to rename our project ‘Breaking Bad in Lewes’ when we discovered lots of hypodermic needles and other dubious paraphernalia on the demolition site. Our suspicions were confirmed one evening when, under the cover of darkness, we spotted flickering lights inside the semi-wrecked bungalow which turned out to be a bunch of junkies getting high. The police soon saw them off the property.  We are told that this is not uncommon as the debris and disorder of a demolition site makes a good ground for dumping the unwanted druggie kit so the users don’t get caught with the evidence if they are stopped by the police. All this unexpected excitement in our peaceful neighborhood…  Needless to say, we’ve tried to secure the property with big KEEP OUT signs but those with intent will always find a way to trespass.  This situation highlighted to us the importance of securing the site at the very beginning of the project to keep out trespassers.
