“Up on a hill overlooking Lewes, this purpose built, one off, eco design is a stunner. Super dog friendly and totally accessible for wheelchairs (so carefully designed, they don’t even need ramps) this is a little cracker of a B&B. The beds are super comfy and the bathrooms slick and luxurious, the shutters and lights are all controlled by dinky remotes which don’t need a physics degree to use. The outside space is carefully landscaped, with a pond and decking area for each room. Open plan kitchen and sitting room all look out over the stunning view of the South Downs. A perfect place to use as a base for walkers, cycling or seeing the various National Trust properties nearby (particularly good for Bloomsbury Group shenanigans as Virginia Woolf holidayed nearby and her sister took up with a group of artists nearby (Omega Group)). Lovely hosts and amazing breakfasts. Fabulous.”
